Strange sports

Chessboxing
This sport each time is more popular in a ring by alternating two minutes
of boxing and four of chess and breaking one minute until complete twelve
rounds.
Actually the world champion is Nikolai Shazin who is 19 years old. The most famous champion of this kind of sport is Tihomir Dovramadjiev; Bulgarian. Also, he has been winner in his country.
Korfball
From the
Netherlands, this has more of one century. In that sport two teams play each one
consisting in four male and four female, they start to play in pairs. The ball
is like a soccer´s ball. A korfball match consists in two periods of 30 minutes
with a break of 10 minutes in between periods. The purpose of this sport is
that players score by throwing the ball through the opponent´s basket.

Bandy
It’s like hockey,
but in this sport is used a ball instead of disc. It is playing on ice too. Here,
there is two teams with 11 players each one and they pursue a ball using
sticks. The Bandy´s rules are similar to soccer.
Between beach and the tradition is the Bossaball.

Bossaball is a volleyball game, played in a blown-up
castle with a elastic bed. It has roots of sports like volleyball, soccer and
capoeira. It is from Spain and it’s played between two teams from 4 to 5
people.
The game´s objetive is to get the ball fallen in the opponent´s
floor. The players never can touch the
net and is allowed a maximum of 5 hits for each team.
Kabaddi
South Asian sport. Derived from the Tamil Word கை-பிடி, it means something like ‘Holding
Hands’. In a swimming pool, two teams are separated and each member of these
groups has to be a ‘raider’ into the other half by tackling memebers of the
opposite half. After that, the ‘raider’ has to hold his breath when he’s
returning to his on half and he must chant the word ‘Kabaddi’. He must touch any of his
opponents or he will be declared as ‘Out’.
